Michigan State Head Coach Robyn Fralick provided insights following their recent game against Detroit Mercy. Fralick expressed satisfaction with the team's overall performance, particularly highlighting their defensive efforts at the beginning of the game. "Good overall team impact tonight. I was proud," she stated, emphasizing the importance of consistently executing both defensively and offensively.

Fralick acknowledged Detroit Mercy's strengths, crediting their head coach Kate Achter for her effective leadership. She noted, "You know, credit to Detroit preparing for them and watching them. They've had two good wins."

The coach highlighted Grace's role in setting the tone early in the game by capitalizing on opportunities in the paint and applying pressure on the rim. Fralick also praised freshman Juliann Woodard for her fearless play and scoring ability, describing her as a valuable addition to the team.

Discussing rotation considerations, Fralick explained that early games have allowed staff to evaluate different player combinations effectively. "I think these games have really given some kids some opportunities for us to see more of what they can do in real games," she said.

On aggressive defense, Fralick detailed Michigan State's approach as a strategic plan rather than chaos. She remarked on their focus on improvement through practice and emphasized using speed, length, and versatility as team strengths.
