The 1966-67 Michigan State University (MSU) hockey team, led by Head Coach Amo Bessone, finished their season with an overall record of 16 wins, 15 losses, and one tie. In the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA), they secured eight wins against eleven losses and one tie, placing them fifth in the conference standings.

The team's performance in the NCAA Tournament saw them achieve a third-place finish. Throughout the season, MSU faced various opponents, including notable matches against Minnesota, Michigan, Boston College, Cornell, North Dakota, Colorado College, Denver, Michigan Tech, Minnesota-Duluth, Wisconsin, and Boston University.

Key games included victories over Minnesota on December 3rd with a score of 3-2 in overtime and Boston College on December 16th with a score of 5-3. The team also secured significant wins during the WCHA Playoffs against Michigan on March 9th with a score of 4-2 and against Michigan Tech on March 16th in overtime with a score of 2-1.

Despite some challenging losses throughout the season—such as those to Denver on January 13th and February's defeats to North Dakota—the Spartans demonstrated resilience by ending their NCAA Frozen Four run with a victory over North Dakota on March 18th with a decisive score of 6-1.
