Michigan State's men's and women's golf programs will commence the 2024-25 season at the Folds of Honor Collegiate from Monday, Sept. 9 to Wednesday, Sept. 11 at American Dunes Golf Club in Grand Haven, Michigan.

This marks the third annual participation for the men's team and the inaugural inclusion of a women's field in the tournament.

The event will feature 22 colleges and universities, with a total of 30 teams (15 men, 15 women). The lineup includes top-ranked golf programs, Service Academies, Division II teams, and Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs).

The three-day tournament will be broadcast live on Golf Channel. Women's coverage is scheduled for Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (ET), Tuesday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (ET), and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (ET). Men's coverage will air on Monday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (ET), Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (ET), and Wednesday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (ET).

Michigan State’s women’s team enters the season ranked No.13 by Golf Channel and No.23 by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association preseason polls.

The Spartans' lineup includes Katie Lu, Ana Sofia Murcia, Brooke Biermann, Taylor Kehoe, and Paula Balanzategui.

Head Coach Stacy Slobodnik-Stoll leads the team into her 27th season at Michigan State.

For the men’s team, senior Ashton McCulloch headlines one of Head Coach Casey Lubahn's youngest squads in his tenure at Michigan State.

McCulloch is joined by Lorenzo Pinili, Caleb Bond, Juan Velasquez, and Julian Menser.

American Dunes Golf Club has historical significance as it hosted a small tournament in 2006 that inspired Folds of Honor's formation.

Lt Col Dan Rooney founded Folds of Honor in 2007 to provide educational scholarships for spouses and children of fallen or disabled US military service members and first responders.

"American Dunes represents a collaboration of countless like-minded patriots," said Rooney about the project led by Jack Nicklaus who donated his $3 million design fee.

Since its inception in 2007, Folds of Honor has awarded over $244 million in scholarships across all states.
