Michigan State University's men's tennis team is set to participate in two events this weekend, dividing their efforts between the Big Ten Indoor Championships and the ITA Sectionals. The competitions will take place from Thursday to Sunday, November 7-10.

Freshman Danial Rakhmatullayev will represent the Spartans at the B1G Indoor Championships held at UW's Nielsen Tennis Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin. Meanwhile, freshman Matthew Forbes, redshirt junior Aristotelis Thanos, and senior Max Sheldon will travel to Fort Worth, Texas for the ITA Sectionals at TCU's Bartzen Varsity Courts.

The B1G Indoor Championships in Wisconsin commence on Thursday and will continue until Sunday. In Texas, Sheldon and Forbes are slated to compete as doubles partners while also participating in singles matches alongside Thanos.

Thanos is scheduled to face William Mroz of Illinois at 12 p.m. ET / 11 a.m. CT. Sheldon will play against Gavin Young from Michigan at 2 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. CT, concurrently with Forbes' match against Oskar Brostrom Poulsen from Baylor.

The ITA Sectionals serve as an NCAA Qualifier event where participants must finish in the top six for singles or top three for doubles to advance to the NCAA Championships occurring November 19-24.

Rakhmatullayev's participation in Wisconsin focuses on the singles category of the tournament.
