The 1967-68 Michigan State University (MSU) hockey team, led by Head Coach Amo Bessone, concluded their season with an overall record of 11 wins, 16 losses, and 2 ties. In the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA), they secured a sixth-place finish with a conference record of 6 wins, 13 losses, and 1 tie.
The team began their season on November 23 with a victory against St. Lawrence, finishing the game at 7-4. The following day saw them draw in overtime against Clarkson with a score of 3-3. Another win followed against St. Lawrence on November 25 with a close score of 3-2.
December brought mixed results for MSU. They faced Minnesota-Duluth twice, losing the first match but winning the second decisively at 6-2. A series against North Dakota resulted in one tie and one loss for MSU.
During the Big Ten Tournament held in Minneapolis, Minnesota from December 28 to December 30, MSU experienced both defeat and triumph; they lost to Minnesota but achieved victories over Ohio State and Wisconsin.
In January, the team struggled with consecutive losses to Michigan and Denver before facing further defeats against Minnesota later that month.
February's games were challenging as well; MSU faced defeats from Michigan Tech but managed victories over Colorado College towards mid-month. They ended February with mixed outcomes against Minnesota and Colorado College again.
March marked the end of their season as they split games against Wisconsin before falling to North Dakota in the WCHA Playoffs on March 5.
