The 1929 Michigan State Hockey Team, under the leadership of Head Coach John H. Kobs, completed their season with an overall record of 3 wins, 3 losses, and 1 tie. The team's performance included a mix of victories and defeats against various opponents.

The season began on January 12 with a narrow loss to Battle Creek Civic Club, ending at 0-1. This was followed by a significant defeat against Michigan on January 14, where the team lost with a score of 1-9.

On February 26, the team faced Battle Creek again at Ralph's Sport Shop, resulting in a double-overtime tie with no goals scored from either side. However, they managed to secure two decisive victories against Detroit on February 2 and February 15, both games concluding with an impressive score of 8-0.

Their match against Battle Creek Civic Club on February 5 ended favorably for Michigan State as well, with a win of 4-1. Despite these successes, another encounter with Michigan on February 9 resulted in a loss of 2-8.
