Michigan State hockey team ends winless in the challenging 1950 season

The 1950 Michigan State Hockey Team, led by Head Coach Harold Paulsen, faced a challenging season with an overall record of 0-14-0. Despite the team's efforts, they were unable to secure a victory throughout their games.

The team roster included players such as Robert Hinkley, Bill Calvert, Walter Flanders, Delmar Reid, Harley Hotchkiss, Adelbert Gieche, James Doyle in the front row. The back row featured Sam Breck, Ed Belyea, Bill Blair, Cornelius Bristol, Bill McCormick, William Finneran, Bob Gorman, Marc Druckman, Marc Suarez and Joe Kauppi.

The team's season began with two losses against Michigan Tech on January 12 and 13 with scores of 2-6 and 2-15 respectively. They continued to struggle against Minnesota on January 20 and 21 with losses of 2-8 and 1-11. The pattern persisted through February with defeats from Michigan Tech (3-13 and 0-10), North Dakota (1-14 and 3-12), Minnesota (1-12 and 0-8), Michigan (4-10), Western Ontario (5-9 and 2-12) before concluding the season against Michigan with a loss of 1-17 on March 10.
