Michigan State athletics prepare for busy week across multiple sports

Michigan State University's athletic teams have a busy week ahead, with various sports events scheduled from January 28 to February 3. The men's basketball team, ranked No. 7, will face Minnesota at home on Tuesday before traveling to California for games against USC and UCLA. Women's basketball, ranked No. 16, will host Oregon on Thursday and play Northwestern on the road on Sunday.

The hockey team, currently ranked No. 2, is set to play a series against Ohio State this Thursday and Friday after a successful weekend against Minnesota. In gymnastics, Michigan State will compete against UCLA in a top-ten matchup broadcasted live by Fox.

Women's tennis aims to maintain its winning streak with matches against Western Michigan and Eastern Michigan on Sunday. The track and field team will participate in the Meyo Invitational in South Bend and the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational in Louisville over the weekend.

Men's tennis will travel for matches against Tennessee and Clemson this weekend. Wrestling has its Senior Celebration event as they host Clarion on Sunday afternoon.

Men's golf starts its spring season with a duel against Northwestern in Florida on Saturday, while women's golf returns to competition at the Puerto Rico Classic from February 2-4.
