Michigan State defeats Minnesota to extend winning streak to thirteen games

Junior guard Tre Holloman led Michigan State with 12 points, all scored in the first half, as the Spartans secured a 73-51 victory over Minnesota at the Breslin Center. The win marks Michigan State's 13th consecutive triumph.

Holloman's performance included four successful three-point shots during the first half, contributing to a significant 36-16 lead at halftime. He was one of three players who scored in double figures for the team. Senior guard Jaden Akins added 10 points, three rebounds, and two assists, while sophomore forward Xavier Booker also contributed 10 points and three rebounds.

Junior center Carson Cooper achieved nine points and matched his career-high with 11 rebounds and three blocked shots. Junior forward Jaxon Kohler provided eight points and seven rebounds, and freshman guard Jase Richardson recorded six points alongside a career-high eight assists.

Michigan State now holds an overall record of 18-2 and remains undefeated in Big Ten Conference play with a 9-0 record. Minnesota's record stands at 11-10 overall and 3-7 in conference games.

The Spartans will travel to Los Angeles for their next game against USC on Saturday, February 1st.
