Michigan State's men's basketball team is set to face Minnesota at the Breslin Center on Tuesday night. The game, scheduled for 8 p.m., will be broadcast live on Peacock. Paul Burmeister and Robbie Hummel will provide commentary. Fans can also listen to the Spartan Media Network radio call statewide and online at MSUSpartans.com, with Will Tieman handling play-by-play duties alongside color analyst Matt Steigenga. The Spartans enter the matchup with a strong record of 17-2 overall and an undefeated 8-0 in Big Ten play. They are ranked No. 7 in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches polls, No. 17 in NCAA Net Rankings, No. 15 according to KenPom.com, and No. 17 in ESPN BPI rankings.

Despite having only one player scoring in double figures—Jaden Akins with an average of 13.8 points per game—the Spartans have shown depth across their roster. Six players average over 20 minutes per game, while ten players contribute at least ten minutes each game.

Minnesota comes into this contest with an overall record of 11-9 and a conference record of 3-6. The Gophers have recently secured three consecutive conference victories against Michigan, Iowa, and Oregon.

Senior forward Dawson Garcia leads Minnesota's scoring efforts with an average of 19.7 points per game, ranking third in the Big Ten Conference.

Historically, Michigan State has dominated this series against Minnesota with a record of 78 wins to Minnesota's 62 losses across all meetings.
