The Michigan State track and field team achieved notable success at the Crossroads of America Invitational in Indianapolis, securing three podium finishes. Elle Adrian stood out on Friday in the women's weight throw, tying her personal best of 21.39m to secure third place and ranking as the top collegiate athlete. Valadian Pallett followed closely with a fifth-place finish, throwing 20.88m.
Logan Allen showcased his strong form in the indoor season by advancing to the finals of the 60m hurdles, finishing second overall with a time of 8.02 and emerging as the leading collegiate runner. Although he narrowly missed qualifying for the finals in the 60m sprint, finishing ninth with a time of 6.92, Landon Cosby achieved a personal record in the men's pole vault with a height of 5.04m.
Elizabeth Anderson set a new personal best in the 600m race with a time of 1:35.62, placing her twelfth overall.
Saturday's events began with Logan Allen clocking an 8.09 to finish fourth in the 60m hurdles final. The Spartans also celebrated a podium finish in the men's 400m as Noah Sage claimed second place with a time of 47.00.
In women's sprints on Saturday, Alexys Wilson delivered her season-best performance by finishing seventeenth in the 400m at 56.34 seconds.
The Spartans excelled in women's shot put with Jessica Stieb achieving fifth place through a throw measuring 16.19m and Rylan Finstrom attaining ninth place by setting a personal record at 14.40m. In men's shot put, Dillon Morlock earned runner-up honors just shy of his personal record at an impressive distance of 18.36m while Colby Morlock secured eighth position through his effort reaching up to17 .34 m .
Leila Barmore represented MSU solo during women’s horizontal jumps Saturday where she marked another milestone breaking her indoor record leaping across12 .62 meters which placed her fourth among competitors . Meanwhile Natalie Blake alongside Sophia Mettes both cleared heights equalizing around3 .94 meters landing them positions respectively eleventh twelfth under category pole vaulting discipline .
