No. 17 Michigan State men's tennis team is preparing for its first road trip of the spring season. The Spartans will travel to Fort Worth, Texas, to participate in the ITA Kickoff Weekend. Their first match is scheduled against Liberty on Saturday, January 25, at 11 a.m. ET / 10 a.m. CT. Depending on the results from Saturday, MSU will face either No. 2-ranked TCU or Pacific on Sunday, January 26.

Fans can keep up with the matches through "Watch Live" and "Live Results" links available at MSUSpartans.com, as well as live updates on X/Twitter via @MSU_MTennis.

The trip offers the Spartans an opportunity to test their skills against strong opponents and build momentum for the rest of the season. Michigan State began their spring campaign with a 3-0 record, highlighted by a significant victory over No. 7 Kentucky in front of a record crowd at the MSU Indoor Tennis Center.

Recently updated rankings by ITA show that Michigan State has moved up six spots to No. 17 after their impressive start. Additionally, redshirt sophomore Aristotelis Thanos was named Player of the Week by the Big Ten Conference.

The weekend's matches could include facing TCU, which would be notable given TCU's status as the No. 2 team nationally and would provide a challenging test on their home courts. Alternatively, playing against Pacific would allow MSU to demonstrate their depth and adaptability in consecutive matches.

This road trip marks an important step for Michigan State as they seek valuable experience away from home this spring with both seasoned players and emerging talent eager to make an impact.

Following this weekend's events at ITA Kickoff, Michigan State will continue their travels with matches in Tennessee on Friday, January 31, followed by Clemson on Sunday, February 2.
