Nearly 20 former Michigan State baseball players are currently playing in professional baseball leagues, with several making significant contributions to their teams. He was called up to the Diamondbacks on April 30 and has made two starts against the Dodgers.

Anthony Misiewicz, who was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in 2015 and is now with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders affiliated with the New York Yankees, had a brief stint in MLB this year. He was called up on June 18 and has pitched one game for the Yankees.

In Double-A, Kyle Bischoff signed a free agent deal with Minnesota Twins last year and recently joined Wichita Wind Surge. Sam Benschoter signed with Cincinnati Reds and plays for Chattanooga Lookouts. Mason Erla is part of Rocket City Trash Pandas under Los Angeles Angels' affiliation.

Alex Troop plays for Tennessee Smokies under Chicago Cubs after being drafted by Washington Nationals in 2017.

Several former Spartans are also active at Single-A level. Bryan Broecker was promoted to Bowling Green Hot Rods from Charleston just days ago. Indigo Diaz faced an early season injury but is back playing for Hudson Valley Renegades associated with New York Yankees.

Nick Powers joined Rocky Mountain Vibes this June alongside Sam Thompson who signed in May; both contribute significantly to their team’s efforts.

Cam Vieaux made his MLB debut on June 17, 2022, and has played eight games at major league level during his tenure with Pittsburgh Pirates before joining Tecos de los Dos Laredos.
