Ohio State Head Coach Ryan Day provided his insights following the recent game. Discussing a key sequence before halftime, Day stated, "That's something we spend a lot of time talking about. You guys have seen how many times we tried to get some of those two-minute drills in games. That middle eight is important." He explained their strategy and praised the players' performance during this critical period.

Commenting on the defense's overall performance, Day remarked, "When you look at the sum total of it all, 50 plays and 246 yards and seven points. You come away and say jeez what a great performance." He acknowledged areas needing improvement but emphasized the strong second-half showing.

Regarding player health, Day confirmed that Will Howard is recovering well after taking a hit and noted Tyleik Williams was available for emergency use but did not play to allow more recovery time. "Will is good to go," said Day.

Reflecting on their first road win and turnover battle, Day noted its significance: "The turnover battle was huge in this game. If we don't get those turnovers, maybe it is a different game for sure."

Day also evaluated Will Howard's poise despite mistakes: "The biggest one was the interception. He knows that was not a great play and it could have cost us." He pointed out learning opportunities within the new offense but commended Howard's overall solid performance.

Redshirt senior linebacker Cal Haladay shared his perspective on missed opportunities impacting the game: "We just have to capitalize on opportunities." Haladay felt they were competitive throughout but highlighted areas needing better execution.

Discussing the difference in playing Ohio State compared to previous years, Haladay said, "I thought we were in this game the whole time... But I felt for most of this game we were in it until the end."

Haladay also spoke about preparing for such high-caliber opponents: "We knew it was going to be a challenge for sure... We have consistently gotten better every week in and week out."
