Tim Kelly, an American politician and former member of the Michigan House of Representatives, published several posts on his X (formerly Twitter) account in September 2025 commenting on state governance and reflecting on a personal acquaintance.

On September 10, 2025, Kelly wrote: "If you have to subpoena a state employee to find out what they do, you likely live in a state with a Democrat governor." In this post, he implied concerns about transparency in states led by Democratic governors.

Later that same day, he posted another statement expressing frustration over the situation referenced previously. On September 10, 2025, Kelly stated: "This should be blood boiling, hair on fire alarms to the voters of this state. Why do you put up with this!"

In a separate message posted on September 10, 2025, Kelly shared a personal reflection about meeting Charlie Kirk. He said: "Had the pleasure of meeting Charlie in ‘21. He was a big guy with a bigger voice. Thank you Charlie for founding Turning Point and trying heal the twisted thoughts of too many young people." Charlie Kirk is known as the founder of Turning Point USA.

Kelly's career includes serving as chair of the Michigan House Education Reform Committee during his tenure from 2013 to 2018. His public statements often address issues related to education policy and government accountability.
