Michigan State's head coach, Robyn Fralick, expressed her disappointment following the team's recent game against Michigan. Despite strong fan support, the team fell short in their performance. "First of all, we had amazing fans today, so I want to start there and thank them," Fralick said. She acknowledged that while the team played hard, they did not play well enough compared to Michigan.

Fralick pointed out issues with offensive consistency during the game. "I felt we would get a stop, turn it over, then empty possession, empty possession, empty possession," she noted. The lack of execution on offense was frustrating as the team tried to close the gap.

When discussing offensive struggles further, Fralick admitted uncertainty about specific causes but mentioned poor shot selection and missed opportunities in the paint as contributing factors. "We took some bad shots, and we also just missed some layups," she explained. She praised Grace VanSlooten for her efforts despite these challenges: "I thought Grace (VanSlooten) did a great job... We had 18 offensive rebounds but didn't finish."

Fralick emphasized the importance of teamwork in overcoming these hurdles: "They're important players for us... I just thought as a group we didn't play good enough basketball." She stressed that effective group play is essential for success.

Highlighting VanSlooten's individual performance, Fralick remarked on her relentless effort: "She had twelve rebounds and nine offensive... I thought she did a great job finishing through contact."

Looking ahead, Fralick remains focused on improvement and learning from each game: "Every game has feedback... I think offensively we've got to get way more in sync."
