Michigan State University's men's tennis team, ranked 16th nationally, is set for a challenging weekend as they travel to face No. 19 Tennessee and Clemson. The Spartans will play Tennessee on Friday, January 31 at the Goodfriend Tennis Center in Knoxville and then head to Clemson for a match on Sunday, February 2 at the Duckworth Family Tennis Facility.

The Spartans are coming off a split weekend at the ITA Kickoff Weekend, where they defeated Liberty but lost to No. 2 TCU. This performance allowed them to climb from No. 17 to No. 16 in the ITA team rankings.

Fans can keep up with the matches through "Watch Live" and "Live Results" links available on MSUSpartans.com, with live updates also provided via their Twitter account @MSU_MTennis.

During their last outing, Michigan State achieved a decisive victory against Liberty with Ma. Sheldon securing an early singles win over Carl Roothman. Thanos followed with another win against Joaquim Almeida, while Radjenovic clinched his first collegiate singles victory against Rodrigo Santiago Arraez in a tiebreaker.

In contrast, their encounter with TCU saw only freshman Matthew Forbes manage to score for Michigan State.

Tennessee enters the matchup with a 4-2 record after splitting results at the ITA Kickoff Weekend. They beat Illinois but were defeated by Michigan. The Vols are ranked just behind MSU at No. 19.

Clemson remains unranked despite starting their season strong with a 4-0 record and narrowly defeating FAU recently.

Following these matches, Michigan State will continue their road trip by visiting Boise State on February 9.
