The Michigan State track and field team is set to participate in the Crossroads of America Invitational on January 24-25 in Indianapolis, Indiana. This follows a successful weekend where the Spartans secured 14 event titles at the Simmons-Harvey Invitational in Ann Arbor and the GVSU Bob Eubanks Open in Allendale.
At the Simmons-Harvey Invitational, Michigan State's men's team finished second with 102.5 points, narrowly trailing Michigan's 105.5 points. The women's team also placed second with 109 points, while the Wolverines took first place with 126 points.
The upcoming invitational will take place over two days. Events begin on Friday at 5 p.m. with the women's weight throw, featuring eight MSU athletes including Elle Adrian and Valadian Pallett, both previous title winners this season.
Friday's schedule also includes the men's weight throw, long jump events for both men and women, and the men's pole vault. Track events commence at 6 p.m., starting with preliminaries for the women's 60m hurdles involving Amani Nuels, followed by the men's 60m hurdle preliminaries featuring Logan Allen, Cameron Cheetam, Noah Heiber, Drew Novak, Ian Thompson, and Jackson Webber.
Saturday's competitions start at 11 a.m. with the women's shot put and finals for the women's 60m hurdles.
