Michigan State University's gymnastics team, ranked sixth nationally, is set to host the University of Michigan, ranked 20th, in a conference meet at the Breslin Center on Friday, January 17. This event marks the first-ever gymnastics meet at this venue and will begin at 6 p.m., with streaming available on B1G+. Parking for fans will be complimentary in designated lots.

The Spartans enter the competition with a record of 3-1, having recently finished second in a quad meet in Gainesville. The team has achieved high scores on bars and beam and holds strong rankings across various events. Junior Olivia Zsarmani and her teammates have been key performers, contributing significantly to the team's success.

Michigan's gymnastics team comes into this meet also holding a 3-1 record for the season. They secured victory in their most recent outing at the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad in Oklahoma City. Notable gymnasts include graduate student Carly Baumann and freshman Jahzara Ranger.

This upcoming matchup sees Michigan State seeking their third consecutive dual meet win over Michigan. Historically, MSU has performed well against their rivals, securing multiple victories since early 2023.

Following this event, Michigan State will continue their conference schedule with an away meet against Ohio State on January 24.
