Spartan women's tennis competes at Michigan Invitational this weekend

Michigan State University's women's tennis team is set to participate in the Michigan Invitational this weekend in Ann Arbor. The event will take place at the University of Michigan's Varsity Tennis Center from January 10th to 12th.

The Spartans will be represented by freshman Amara Brahmbhatt and redshirt-sophomore Hanna Tsitavets, who will compete in both singles and doubles matches. They will face opponents from Eastern Michigan, No. 15 Ohio State, Texas Tech, and host No. 8 Michigan.

The tournament begins with doubles matches on Friday at 1 p.m., followed by singles against Michigan. On Saturday at 10 a.m., Brahmbhatt and Tsitavets will play doubles against Michigan before competing in singles against Ohio State. Sunday's schedule starts at 10 a.m. with doubles versus Ohio State, concluding with singles matches against Texas Tech.

Following the invitational, Michigan State's dual-match season resumes on January 17th when they travel to Spokane, Washington, to face Gonzaga. They are also scheduled to play Washington State on January 19th in Spokane and will host Xavier on January 24th at the MSU Tennis Center.
