Michigan State University's wrestling team is preparing for the 60th Ken Kraft Midlands Championships at NOW Arena in Hoffmann Estates, Illinois. The event, which takes place on December 29 and 30, will feature Michigan State as one of the 37 men's wrestling programs participating. Nine Big Ten institutions are also attending, including Northwestern, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio State, Purdue, Rutgers, and Wisconsin.
The schedule for the event is set in Eastern Time. On Sunday, December 29, Session One begins at 10:30 a.m., covering Rounds 1 and 2 along with Wrestlebacks. Session Two starts at 8:00 p.m., featuring Quarterfinals and additional Wrestlebacks. Monday's events start with Session Three at 11:30 a.m., focusing on Semifinals. This is followed by Session Four at 4:00 p.m., which includes Finals and Podium Matches. The Awards Ceremony concludes the event at 7:00 p.m.

The Spartans' last competition was on December 15 when they faced a road loss against Cal State Bakersfield with a score of 21-14. The Midlands Championships serve as their final preparation before entering Big Ten competition starting January 10 against No.1-ranked Penn State on the road followed by hosting No .3-ranked Maryland on January12 marking first home dual season.
