Michigan State University's baseball team is set to host a winter camp with limited spots available. The Pro Scout Development Camp targets high school players in grades 9-12 and will take place on Sunday, February 9. Check-in starts at 11:15 a.m., and the clinic runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The cost of attending the camp is $185, which includes a t-shirt. There is a discounted rate of $100 for pitchers-only participants; interested individuals should contact Coach Stone for the coupon code before registering.
During the camp, attendees will receive comprehensive instructions on baseball fundamentals used by Michigan State coaches and players. These include proper throwing techniques, fielding groundballs and fly balls, as well as hitting techniques. The first session will mimic a pro-style workout, allowing players to showcase their skills before the Michigan State coaching staff and professional scouts who will be present.
In the late afternoon, participants can expect further skill development sessions and evaluations. Hitting stations will be set up, and pitchers will have an opportunity to throw bullpens in front of both MSU coaches and scouts.
Due to limited space at the Pro Scout Development Camp, early registration is advised.
