Michigan State University gymnastics team began its 2025 season with the annual Green and White exhibition meet at Jenison Field House in East Lansing. The event took place on Saturday, marking a significant milestone for the team.

"We're so thrilled for what this team put together and left out on the floor this afternoon," stated head coach Mike Rowe. He emphasized that the team's performance exceeded expectations, highlighting the large number of routines presented: "11 vaults, 13 bar routines, 17 beam and 12 floor routines made it a great opportunity for us to get them all in front of the fans and judges."

Junior Nikki Smith secured the all-around title, with senior Skyla Schulte taking second place and senior Gabrielle Stephen finishing third. In specific events, junior Sage Kellerman won the vault title, while Stephen and junior Olivia Zsarmani tied for second.

On bars, fifth-year senior Delanie Harkness achieved first place. Kellerman also performed well on bars, tying for second with Schulte. On beam, fifth-year senior Giana Kalefe finished first, followed by newcomer Cady Duplissis in second place. Smith, Stephen, and sophomore Gabi Ortiz shared third place.

The floor event saw Schulte winning the title while Stephen and Harkness tied for second. Coach Rowe expressed gratitude to supporters: "A special thanks to all of our families and fans that showed up for our largest Green and White turnout also, even with the students being off on holiday break."

Looking ahead, Michigan State will officially start its competitive season on January 4th against Western Michigan at Jenison Field House.
