Michigan State University has announced the first signing for its 2025 women's tennis recruiting class. Anna Maria Tottrup, an accomplished player from Tallinn, Estonia, will join the team. Tottrup has achieved significant success in her career, including winning two J30 singles titles and securing victories in both J30 and J60 doubles competitions. In 2024, she became the Estonian women's doubles champion and is currently ranked 572 internationally.
"We are thrilled to welcome Anna, a top junior tennis player from Estonia, to the Michigan State women's tennis team," said head coach Kim Bruno. "Anna was highly sought after, and we are honored that she chose us because our visions align perfectly. She is an athletic specimen who we believe will flourish here in college. Beyond her incredible talent on the court, Anna embodies the character and values we look for in our athletes. We can't wait to see her thrive and contribute to our team's success."
Tottrup also reached the semifinals twice in $15K women's doubles events. She will begin her studies at Michigan State University in fall 2025 and will be eligible to participate in fall tournament play.
The women's tennis team is set to start their spring season on January 17 against Gonzaga in Spokane, Washington.
