Michigan State's Zac Kelly has been selected to participate in the adidas Major League Soccer College Showcase, an event that gathers 44 collegiate soccer players for evaluation by MLS teams. The showcase will be held in San Diego, California, from December 11-14. It provides a platform for MLS clubs to scout top collegiate prospects ahead of the MLS SuperDraft 2025 scheduled for December 20.
MSU head coach Damon Rensing expressed his support for Kelly's inclusion: "I am really happy for Zac to have this opportunity. Zac has worked extremely hard these last couple years both on and off the field. This is a culmination of both his hard work and ability, combined with having the platform of the MSU Soccer program and the Big Ten! I am excited to see Zac showcase his skills to the MLS teams."
Kelly had an impressive redshirt-junior season at Michigan State, earning B1G Goalkeeper of the Year honors—the first Spartan since Jimmy Hague in 2017—and first-team All-Big Ten recognition. He played all 17 games this season, allowing only 18 goals with a goals-against average (GAA) of 1.06 and achieving seven shutouts.
The showcase is a closed-door event sanctioned by the NCAA. The list of eligible players for the upcoming MLS SuperDraft will be announced after the showcase concludes.
