Michigan State University's women's basketball team is set to face DePaul in their final non-conference home game of the season. The game will take place at the Breslin Center on Sunday, December 8, at 2 p.m., with Charlie Schmidgall and Jack Stager providing commentary for Big Ten Plus.

The Spartans have started their season with an impressive 8-0 record under head coach Robyn Fralick, matching a school record for the best start in program history. Meanwhile, DePaul arrives in East Lansing with a 3-6 overall record, having lost five of their last six games.

In recent performances, Michigan State's Grace VanSlooten achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 1,000 career points during a win over Vanderbilt. Julia Ayrault was named MVP of the Acrisure Classic after delivering outstanding performances across two games.

DePaul's Jorie Allen leads her team in scoring with an average of 18.3 points per game. Interim head coach Jill Pizzotti is currently guiding the Blue Demons while Doug Bruno is on medical leave.

Historically, Michigan State has dominated its encounters with DePaul, holding a 4-0 lead in their series. Last season saw the Spartans secure a decisive victory against DePaul in Chicago.

Looking ahead, Michigan State will continue its December schedule with another home game against Iowa before participating in the West Palm Beach Classic later this month.
