Michigan State University secured a 2-0 victory over Lindenwood, marking the end of their home schedule for 2024. Sophomore goaltender Luca Di Pasquo achieved his first career shutout, with goals scored by Gavin O'Connell and Mikey DeAngelo. The Spartans also won the previous game against Lindenwood 4-0, making it the first time since March 2015 that they had consecutive shutouts against the same opponent.

The team's goals came in the first and third periods. O'Connell's goal followed a pass from Isaac Howard, while DeAngelo scored early in the third period. Lindenwood's standout player was goalie Owen Barstoszkiewicz, who made 35 saves on Sunday and 52 on Friday.

Michigan State is set to play two away games against Wisconsin next weekend before the holiday break. The Spartans improved their record to 11-1-0, achieving their longest winning streak since the 2000-01 season. They have also won six straight home games following an initial loss to Boston College.

The team maintained a perfect penalty kill during this series and allowed only 14 shots on goal by Lindenwood in Sunday's game. Di Pasquo made his second start of the season at Munn Ice Arena, recording 14 saves for his lowest total in a complete game yet.

Gavin O'Connell marked his 50th career game with Michigan State by scoring his third goal of the season. Assists were credited to Isaac Howard and Matt Basgall on O'Connell's goal. MSU's fourth line was particularly effective during this series, with Mikey DeAngelo contributing both a goal and an assist across the two games.
