Michigan State University's volleyball team concluded its 2024 season with a challenging match against the University of Wisconsin, ranked seventh nationally. The game ended in a 3-1 defeat for MSU, with set scores of 25-19, 26-28, 25-19, and 25-18. This result leaves Michigan State with an overall record of 13 wins and 18 losses, including a 6-14 mark in Big Ten Conference play.

Senior libero Nalani Iosia wrapped up her collegiate career with notable achievements. She recorded 17 digs during the match against Wisconsin, bringing her career total to 1,466 digs. This places her third on Michigan State's all-time list. Her performance this season also ranks highly within the program's history, as she accumulated 516 digs over the year and maintained an average of 4.57 digs per set.

Junior outside hitter Taylor Preston led the team with a total of 16 kills in the match. Middle blockers Nil Okur and Zuzanna Kulig contributed significantly by combining for a hitting percentage of .480 from their collective efforts on the court. Karolina Staniszewska matched her personal best with 16 digs during the game. Meanwhile, senior setters Rachel Muisenga and Julia Bishop supported their teammates by providing a combined total of 43 assists.

Despite falling short in three sets, Michigan State showed resilience throughout the game. They managed to secure a victory in the second set with a .280 hitting percentage. Key moments included early leads and critical plays that brought them close to overtaking Wisconsin at various points in each set.
