Michigan State triumphs over Bowling Green with late-game surge

Michigan State's men's basketball team secured a victory against Bowling Green with an 86-72 win at the Breslin Center. The Spartans achieved this triumph by executing an 18-0 run in the final seven minutes of the second half.

The game saw seven Michigan State players scoring in double figures. Senior guard Jaden Akins stood out with his first career double-double, contributing 13 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, and two steals. Senior forward Frankie Fidler added 12 points and three rebounds, while junior center Carson Cooper set a personal record with 12 points. Sophomore forward Coen Carr scored 11 points and grabbed five rebounds. Junior guard Tre Holloman contributed 11 points, three assists, and four blocks. Sophomore guard Jeremy Fears Jr. finished with 10 points and five assists, and junior forward Jaxon Kohler had 10 points and three rebounds.

With this victory, Michigan State's record improves to 3-1 overall, whereas Bowling Green's record falls to 1-3 overall.

Looking ahead, Michigan State is set to host Samford on Tuesday, November 19 at the Breslin Center.
