Michigan State University has secured commitments from two promising basketball recruits, Jordan Scott and Cam Ward, for the 2025-26 season. Head coach Tom Izzo expressed enthusiasm about their decision to join the program.

"Well, it's an exciting day and Signing Day is always great, for the kids and for our program," said Izzo. "We've got two big commitments who formally announced their decision to come to Michigan State, and we are really excited about having Jordan (Scott) and Cam (Ward) join our program."

Jordan Scott, a 6-foot-7 wing from Reston, Virginia, is recognized as a four-star recruit. Ranked No. 52 nationally by 247 Sports and No. 9 among small forwards, he was named the Virginia Class 6 State Player of the Year in 2024. His impressive junior year stats include averaging 18.4 points, 7.5 rebounds, and nearly two steals per game.

"Jordan comes from a great pedigree," noted Izzo regarding Scott's family background in basketball. "Not only the school where Grant Hill came from but also both of his parents... Jordan was the player of the year in the Virginia area."

Cam Ward hails from Upper Marlboro, Maryland, standing at 6-foot-8 with a notable wingspan of 6-foot-11. Also a four-star recruit according to 247 Sports rankings, he placed No. 54 nationally and No. 12 among small forwards. In his junior year at Largo High School, he averaged an impressive 26 points per game.

"We are very excited about Cam," stated Izzo about Ward's achievements and potential contribution to Michigan State University.

Both players bring strong athletic backgrounds; Scott's family includes former college athletes while Ward has been coached by his father with his mother serving as athletic director at Largo High School.
