The 2019-20 Michigan State Hockey team, led by Head Coach Danton Cole, finished their season with an overall record of 15 wins, 19 losses, and 2 ties. In the Big Ten Conference, they secured a record of 11-11-2, placing them sixth in the standings.

Throughout the season, Michigan State faced various opponents. They began with a victory against Western Ontario in an exhibition match and continued to perform competitively against teams such as Northern Michigan and Colorado College. Notable victories included wins over Penn State and Michigan.

Despite their efforts, the team encountered challenges against higher-ranked teams like Cornell and Ohio State. The Spartans concluded their season in the Big Ten Tournament Quarterfinals with two losses to Michigan.

The roster included players such as Drew DeRidder, Tommy Apap, Sam Saliba, Jerad Rosburg, Patrick Khodorenko, Logan Lambdin, John Lethemon among others. The coaching staff featured Assistant Coaches Chris Luongo and Joe Exter along with Director of Video & Analytics Dan Sturges.

The team's performance was documented through individual statistics and game box scores available for review. The journey for this group ended at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit during the Great Lakes Invitational before heading into postseason play at Ann Arbor.
