Michigan State Women's Basketball is set to participate in the Acrisure Classic during Thanksgiving week, scheduled for November 26-27 in Palm Springs, California. The team will face off against California on Tuesday, November 26 at 1:30 p.m. ET. This matchup marks only the third meeting between Michigan State and California, with their series currently tied at 1-1. The teams last met in 1996.

The Acrisure Classic's first round will also feature a game between Vanderbilt and Arizona at 4 p.m. ET on the same day. On Wednesday, November 27, the tournament will continue with a third-place game at 1:30 p.m. ET and the championship game at 4 p.m. ET.

The Acrisure Classic is part of the larger Acrisure Series, known as the country's largest multiple team event (MTE) series, held at the new 11,000-seat Acrisure Arena. The tournament includes strong programs such as Arizona, Vanderbilt, and Michigan State, all of which participated in the 2024 NCAA Tournament.

"Sponsoring the Acrisure Series is a testament to our commitment to excellence and community engagement," stated Greg Williams, chairman and CEO of Acrisure. "We are thrilled to see the tournament expand in 2024, bringing fans from across the country to Acrisure Arena for an unforgettable celebration of top-tier college basketball."

Under head coach Robyn Fralick's leadership in her first season with Michigan State, the Spartans achieved a record of 22-9 overall and went 12-6 in Big Ten play. They secured a double bye in the Big Ten Tournament and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.

Key returning players for Michigan State include first-team All-Big Ten guard/forward Julia Ayrault and guard Theryn Hallock, who was named Big Ten's Sixth Player of the Year.

Tickets for the Acrisure Invitational will be available starting Friday, June 7 at 10 a.m. PST (1 p.m. EST). Tickets can be purchased at the Acrisure Arena box office or online through acrisurearena.com and Ticketmaster.com.
