Michigan State University announced that five of its softball players have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. The athletes recognized are graduate Liv Grey, juniors Faith Guidry and Macy Lee, and sophomores Britain Beshears and Sydney Doloszycki. This marks the second consecutive year that Macy Lee has received this honor.

The achievement highlights the academic success of Michigan State's softball program, which now boasts a total of 37 student-athletes who have earned Academic All-District honors in its history.

Eligibility for this recognition requires student-athletes to participate in at least 90 percent of their team's games or start in 66 percent of contests. For pitchers, they must have made 17 appearances or pitched 25 innings while maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 on a 4.0 scale.

Liv Grey distinguished herself as a pitcher during her single season with the Spartans, achieving a 2.41 ERA over 148.1 innings and limiting opposing batters to an average of .224. Her record includes 168 strikeouts, placing her tenth for most strikeouts in a single season at MSU. Additionally, Grey was named B1G Pitcher of the Week twice in one season, a first since 2003 for any Spartan player.

Britain Beshears had an impressive second season by hitting a team-high of 15 home runs along with driving in 40 RBIs. She was honored with Third Team All-Great Lakes Region recognition and was named B1G Player of the Week on February 19, 2024.

Sydney Doloszycki returned from injury to make significant contributions with eight home runs and twenty-one RBIs across forty-eight starts in the outfield. Meanwhile, Macy Lee played fifty out of fifty-one games despite battling injuries; she ranked second on her team for walks drawn and led with four sacrifice flies.

Faith Guidry contributed significantly from the bullpen by pitching thirty-nine innings over nineteen appearances throughout the season.
