Michigan State University baseball celebrated its seniors with a win against Nebraska, securing an 11-6 victory at McLane Stadium at Kobs Field. The Spartans honored nine seniors in a pre-game ceremony: Harrison Cook, Jack Frank, Dillon Kark, Nick Powers, Sam Thompson, Greg Ziegler, and student managers Jack Behan, Olivia Hans, George Hunt, Chloe Lanning, and Ava Woodruff.

MSU head coach Jake Boss Jr. praised the seniors for their contributions to the program. "I just told our guys, the seniors especially, their task when they get here is to leave the program in a better place than they found it and I think they did just that," he said. Although the team missed the Big Ten Tournament by one game with a 24-27 overall record and 11-13 in B1G action, Boss highlighted the leadership and culture fostered by the seniors.

The Spartans delivered a strong performance on Senior Day. They recorded 14 hits across eight innings. Jack Frank was notable with four hits and three RBIs. He remarked on his performance saying, "I just try to do the same thing every day."

Nick Powers pitched six innings with six strikeouts and ended his season with a 7-4 record. Reflecting on his final game in Spartan uniform, Powers said it was "something that meant a lot to me."

Dillon Kark contributed two hits and an RBI while Greg Ziegler added three RBIs. The team thwarted Nebraska's chance at sharing the regular-season title with Illinois.

Boss expressed optimism for next season due to the foundation laid by this year's senior class. "Hopefully the culture they created leads to more success next year," he stated.

The Spartans' efforts culminated in denying Nebraska further scoring opportunities after gaining an early lead. The Huskers ended their regular season as the No. 2 seed for next week's B1G Tournament.
