Michigan State University baseball players Jack Frank and Dillon Kark have formed a close bond during their time on the team. Frank, a fifth-year senior from Cleveland, Ohio, likened his relationship with Kark to that of having a twin brother. "I grew up with a twin sister who was with me all the time, and now Dylan's been like my new twin," said Frank.

The friendship began five years ago when head coach Jake Boss Jr. assigned them as roommates. Over time, this random pairing has grown into a significant connection. "You never know what you're gonna get with random roommates," Frank stated. "It's just been a really natural, easy progression."

Frank and Kark do nearly everything together: attending practice, living together, and spending leisure time in each other's company. Both are starters on the team; Kark is the third baseman while Frank plays right field.

Outside of baseball, they pursue different academic paths—Kark is working on a master's in strategic communications while Frank studies for a master's in accounting. Despite their busy schedules, they maintain their friendship through shared activities like playing video games together. "It's awesome," Kark remarked.

Their college experience has been unique due to their prolonged roommate situation. "For somebody to have one roommate for five years, it's super rare," Frank said.

As graduation approaches, both players anticipate changes but plan to maintain their friendship beyond university life. Frank intends to move to Chicago after earning his graduate certificate in accounting analytics last April. "In a month from now...he's gonna be doing something else," said Frank about Kark's future plans.

Kark humorously suggested continuing their living arrangement post-graduation by moving with Frank to Chicago.

Reflecting on their journey from freshmen to seniors at Michigan State University, both players expressed gratitude for their shared experiences and growth over the years.

Frank and Kark will be recognized alongside other seniors during MSU's Senior Day pre-game ceremony before facing Nebraska in a three-game series starting Thursday night through Saturday afternoon at 12 p.m ET., May 18th at McLane Stadium-Kobs Field in East Lansing
