Michigan State University's men's golf team concluded their run at the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional by tying for 10th place. The tournament, held at the Finley Golf Course on the University of North Carolina campus, saw the Spartans finish with a score of 9-over par 849. This placed them alongside Ball State in a field that included 13 teams.

The competition schedule was adjusted due to weather conditions, leading to nearly two rounds being played on Monday. Clemson emerged as the winner with a score of 25-under par 815, followed closely by East Tennessee State and North Carolina.

The top five teams from this regional will move forward to the NCAA Championships in Carlsbad, California. Michigan State's junior Ashton McCulloch and graduate Bradley Smithson were notable performers for their team, both finishing tied for 30th place with scores of even-par 210.

McCulloch's performance included a final round of 1-over par 71, while Smithson achieved his season-best with a round of 3-under par 67. Senior August Meekhof ended his tournament tied for 42nd place at 3-over par 213.

Freshman Lorenzo Pinili finished tied for 61st place at 9-over par, and Lucas Acevedo placed 73rd overall after stepping in during the second round due to an injury sidelining graduate Drew Hackett.

This event marked Michigan State's seventh NCAA Regional appearance in eight years and continued their streak of representation in these tournaments. The Spartans had previously secured seven top-five finishes throughout the season.
