Sophomore Hannah Hawley has been recognized as Second Team All-B1G, as announced by the Big Ten Conference on Wednesday. This achievement marks the first time a Michigan State Spartan has received All-B1G honors since Caitie Ladd in 2019.

Throughout the 2024 season, Hawley made 50 starts for the Spartans and led the team with a .349 batting average, .462 on-base percentage, .671 slugging percentage, and a 1.133 OPS. She also topped Michigan State in hits (52), runs scored (31), extra base hits (24), and walks (25). Her 12 home runs were second on the team and rank sixth all-time for a Spartan.

In conference rankings, Hawley's slugging percentage was fifth, her on-base percentage seventh, and her OPS sixth among qualified batters. Her home run tally placed her tenth in the league.

Hawley's performance contributed to a notable season for Michigan State in terms of power hitting. The team hit 50 home runs over 51 games, placing them #47 nationally and third in program history for a single season.

Additionally, junior Macy Lee was named Michigan State's B1G sportsmanship honoree. Lee started 50 games this past season while splitting time behind the plate and as designated player despite dealing with an injury.
