Michigan State University's junior centerman, Charlie Stramel, has been recognized with the Big Ten Third Star of the Week honors following a weekend series against Boston College. The Spartans split their games with the second-ranked team, and Stramel's performance was pivotal in securing Saturday's 4-3 victory.

Stramel scored two goals during the game, contributing significantly to MSU's success. His first goal initiated MSU's scoring, and his second tied the game at 3-3 in the second period. Additionally, he blocked two shots during the game and three over the weekend. He also won 13 out of 17 faceoffs, reflecting a win rate of 76.5%, helping Michigan State bounce back after a loss on Friday night.

In his debut season with Michigan State, Stramel is already nearing his previous season's total of three goals after just four games. He joins teammates Isaac Howard and Daniel Russell as recipients of weekly honors from the conference this season. Howard received First Star recognition and Russell Second Star following MSU's sweep against Lake Superior State earlier in the season.

The Spartans are set to play an exhibition match against Windsor this Friday at Munn Ice Arena at 6 pm.
