Michigan State men's soccer will host its final exhibition against UIC on Friday, Aug. 16 at DeMartin Stadium at 7 p.m. Admission is free for the exhibition.
The last time UIC and Michigan State met was in 2019 in an exhibition that ended in a 0-0 tie.
The Spartans won their first exhibition 3-2 at Butler on Monday. MSU went down 2-0 in the first half. Michigan State came back in the second half with three goals. Senior forward Efosa Emovon made it a 2-1 game in the second half. Junior midfielder Jonathan Stout and sophomore forward Richie Ludwig both found the back of the net to put the Spartans on top.
Earlier this month, Stout was named United Soccer Coaches Midfielder to Watch, while redshirt-junior Zac Kelly captured USC Goalkeeper to Watch honors.
The Spartans open the regular season at SIUE on Thursday, Aug. 22 at 9 p.m. ET. The Cougars are coached by former MSU assistant coach Cale Wassermann.
