Frankie Fidler, a senior forward standing 6-7 and weighing 217 pounds, hails from Bellevue, Nebraska. He attended Bellevue West High School before transferring from Omaha to Michigan State.
When asked about his post-graduation plans, Fidler expressed a desire to play in the NBA, stating, "Be an NBA player because that has been my dream since I was a young kid."
Fidler chose Michigan State for several reasons: "I chose Michigan State because of the winning culture, the family atmosphere, and playing for a legend of a coach."
For prospective basketball players at Michigan State, he advises, "That you'll love everything about it, the coaches, your teammates, the facilities, the campus. Everything!"
If given the chance to play another position on the court, Fidler would opt for point guard: "Point guard because I have a really good feel for the game, especially with the ball in my hand and passing is a lot more fun than people may think."
Outside of basketball, Fidler would choose golf as an alternative sport due to its mental challenges: "I would play golf just because it's very easy on your body but still makes you have mental toughness. I think golf is the hardest sport mentally there is."
On social media preferences, Fidler favors Twitter: "Twitter because there's a video or post of everything on there." His favorite person to follow is LeBron James: "LeBron James because he's the Goat."
Fidler's ideal dinner companions include LeBron James, Tiger Woods, and Michael Jordan: "Lebron, Tiger Woods, and MJ because I think I could learn some valuable advice from them just from a dinner."
A football enthusiast at Michigan State University (MSU), Fidler eagerly anticipates the football season: "Football man I'm a big football fan. I can't wait for the season."
Before games, Fidler listens to Lil Baby to get ready: "Any song by Lil Baby gets me ready for the court." His dream vacation destination is Spain.
Playing Big Ten basketball offers unique opportunities according to Fidler: "Playing at the highest level of college basketball with a great fan base and great coaches." He describes Coach Izzo as "a tough-minded winner who cares for you" and characterizes MSU basketball players with one word: “Tough.”
