EAST LANSING, Mich. – Director of Cross Country and Track and Field Lisa Breznau announced the Spartans' 2024 men's and women's schedule on Monday.

The eight-meet season will kick off at the Jeff Drenth Memorial on Aug. 30 in Shepherd, Mich. Jeff Drenth was the brother of MSU great Walt Drenth, former Michigan State Director of Cross Country and Track and Field for 15 years, winning five Big Ten Coach of the Year honors and USTFCCCA National Coach of the Year following MSU's women's cross country national championship in 2014.

In the second event of the season, MSU will host its lone home meet in 2024, the Auto-Owners Insurance Spartan Invitational on Sept. 13 at the Forest Akers East Golf Course, just south of MSU's campus.

To begin October, the Spartans will travel to Michigan's southern neighbor in South Bend, Ind., for the Joe Piane Invitational on Oct. 4.

Two weeks later, MSU will head to Michigan's neighbor across Lake Michigan for the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals on October 19, on the same course in Madison, Wis., where NCAA's will be held. On October 25, the Spartans conclude the regular season at the EMU Fall Classic in Dexter, Mich.

To start the postseason, Michigan State will take on the B1G Cross Country Championships on Nov. 1 in Champaign, Ill., as the women look to defend their back-to-back conference titles. Two weeks thereafter MSU will head to Norton, Ohio for the NCAA Great Lakes Regional on Nov. 15.

The NCAA Championships will be held on Nov. 23 as the Spartans hope to send both teams back to Madison, Wis., for a second time this season.
