East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State head men's golf coach Casey Lubahn announced the addition of Caleb Bond to the roster for the 2024-25 season.

A native of nearby Williamston, Bond joins the Spartans after playing for two seasons at Ferris State, helping lead the Bulldogs to a ninth-place finish at the NCAA Division II National Championships last season.

As a sophomore, Bond earned Division I All-Midwest Region honors and was selected to the All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) First Team. He finished the year with a 71.40 scoring average and won three events while finishing among the top-10 in nine different events. Bond opened the season with a 12-under par 204 to win the Malone Fall Classic and closed out the regular season with a 9-under par 207 to capture medalist honors at the Indianapolis Invitational in April.

Bond finished in 10th place at 4-under par 206 as Ferris State finished in fifth place at the NCAA Central/Midwest Super Regional, advancing the team to the championships. In the championships at Orange County National Golf Center in Winter Garden, Fla., Bond tied for 37th place at 3-over par 216 as the Bulldogs fell just four shots shy of advancing to match play.

Bond, who attended Williamston High School, was named GLIAC Freshman of the Year in 2022-23, posting six top-10 finishes. He earned medalist honors following a playoff win at the Music City Invitational in Tennessee and was named GLIAC Golfer of the Week. Bond was named First Team All-GLIAC and finished among the top-20 in 10 of his 12 tournaments, including 10-straight to close the season with three in the fall and all seven spring events.
