Michigan State rowing adds 19 newcomers for 2025 season

Michigan State University has announced the addition of 19 student-athletes to its rowing team for the 2025 season. This will be the second season under head coach Stacey Rippetoe.

"We're looking forward to welcoming this class of new Spartans onto the Grand River and into our team," Rippetoe stated. "It's exciting to think about all that they have ahead of them, both in terms of rowing and academic achievements and growing into powerful teammates of so many strong women."

The new roster includes:

- Ainsley Bielman from Traverse City, MI (Traverse City West)

- Mya Bretzke from Lorton, VA (South County)

- Ryah Dewey from Wixom, MI (Walled Lake Western)

- Lily Flader from Libertyville, IL (Libertyville)

- Ava Getzloff from Wilson, MI (Escanaba Area)

- Ruth Gleason from Ada, MI (Forest Hills Eastern)

- Hope Hoedel from Williamsburg, MI (Elk Rapids High)

- Maddie Kieft from Ypsilanti, MI (University of North Carolina)

- Sarah Lawrence from Lansing, MI (Grand Valley State)

- Maddie Lloyd from Ashburn, VA (Stone Bridge)

- Lucy McCarthy from White Lake, MI (Walled Lake Northern)

- Karina Mitrius from Bloomfield Hills, MI (Marian)

- Felice Orth from Edingen-Neckarhausen, Germany (Carl Benz)

- Kaari Peecher from Livonia, MI (Stevenson)

- Olivia Schafer from Grand Haven, MI (Grand Haven)
