East Lansing, Mich. - For the second consecutive season, Michigan State University (MSU) men's and women's soccer fans can purchase season tickets.
Season ticket packages became available today through the Spartan Ticket Office. Women's soccer tickets are priced at $48 for the public and $36 for youth/seniors for 12 home matches. Men's soccer season tickets, which include nine home matches, are offered at $36 for the public and $27 for youth/seniors. Season ticket holders will receive exclusive opportunities at select games and have the option to purchase a commemorative scarf with their package for an additional $10.
Both Spartan soccer teams have a history of attracting large crowds to DeMartin Stadium. The Michigan State women finished last season eighth in NCAA attendance, averaging 1,698 fans per game. The MSU men ranked seventh nationally in attendance, averaging 2,291 fans per game.
"There is no greater game environment in the B1G than DeMartin Stadium. The energy, passion and support that our crowds bring inspires and fuels us even more to be the best Spartans we can on the day," MSU women's soccer head coach Jeff Hosler said. "And as a season ticket member, we knew that we could depend on that continued support."
"Over the last couple years DeMartin has been one of the best and most attended college soccer environments in the country," MSU head coach Damon Rensing said. "Several Friday night games, new opponents, traditional rivalries, and hosting Michigan for the Big Bear Trophy will have DeMartin and the Red Cedar Rowdies rocking."
The Big Ten women's champions will host 12 regular-season games, starting against Arkansas on Aug. 22. The Michigan State men will play nine regular-season contests this season, beginning at home against Bowling Green on Aug. 26.
Individual match tickets will go on sale later this spring. Admission remains free for all Michigan State students with an MSU ID shown at entry.
