Bath Community Schools welcomed 1,006 students in 2022-23 school year

There were 1,006 students enrolled in Bath Community Schools in the 2022-23 school year, 0.6% less than the previous year, according to the Michigan Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 53.1% of them were girls, and 46.9% were boys.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, representing 78.9% of the Bath Community Schools total enrollment.

Bath Community Schools covers three schools within Clinton County with its main office in Bath. Among them, Bath Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 439 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Overall student enrollment in Michigan remains below pre-pandemic levels, white students experiencing the largest decline at 6.5%.

Academic performance has also suffered, with the state's average NAEP score dropping by 6.5 points and ethnic achievement gaps widening. Black and Hispanic students' average math proficiency dropped by 7% in 2022, to 13.5% and 28.2%, respectively.
