Several Downtown Streets to be Impacted for the Super Bowl 5K

The City of Lansing Public Service Department announces that starting at approximately 7:00 am on Sunday, February 11, 2024, Capitol Avenue between Allegan Street and Ottawa Street will be closed for the Super Bowl 5K. The following streets will also be impacted:

At approximately 8:45 am:

  • Allegan Street will be closed from Capitol Avenue to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard
  • Michigan Avenue will be closed from Capitol Avenue to Washington Square
  • Ottawa Street will be reduced to one traffic lane from Capitol Avenue to Walnut Street
  • Townsend Street will be closed to through traffic from Washtenaw Street to Allegan Street
At approximately 9:15 am:

  • Walnut Street will be closed from Allegan Street to Ottawa Street
  • Pine Street will be closed from Allegan Street to Ottawa Street
  • Butler Boulevard will be closed to through traffic from Kalamazoo Street to Allegan Street
  • Pine Street will be closed to through traffic from Washtenaw Street to Allegan Street
  • Walnut Street will be closed to through traffic from Washtenaw Street to Allegan Street

The street restrictions and closures area expected to last until approximately Noon (12:00 pm) on Sunday, February 11, 2024.
