The Lansing Fire Department’s Emergency Management Division and the Department of Human Relations & Community Services (HRCS), in consultation with Mayor Andy Schor, has extended the City’s ‘Code Blue’ extreme cold weather plan. Implementation of this policy went into effect on Friday, January 12, at 5:00 pm, and will now run until Monday, January 22, at 5:00 pm.
The following plans are in place for emergency cold weather shelters through the Code Blue activation:

Hours: 6pm-7am
During Code Blue, the DRMM will extend hours at the Nighttime Warming Center – Letts Community Center from 6pm-7am on Saturday and Sunday.
Bus passes to the Nighttime Warming Center – Letts Community Center are available for those at shelters and community centers.
