(LANSING, MI) - Mayor Andy Schor today announced that official hours for trick-or-treating in the City of Lansing are on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, from 6-8pm.
The City of Lansing and affiliated groups and organizations will also host a series of fun Halloween trick-or-treating activities:
Treat-or-Treat on the Square
Join Downtown Lansing Inc. to #liftuplocal and trick-or-treat at businesses along Washington Square.
- When: Friday, October 27, from 5-7pm
- Where: Washington Square, Downtown Lansing
Join the Lansing Parks and Recreation Department and the Lansing Fire Department for “Drive-Thru Halloween” and trick-or-treating! Vendors will be set up along the driving route giving out candy and other resources. Please note that traffic will be directed one way on the driving route.
- When: Saturday, October 28, from 1-3pm
- Where: Frances Park - 2701 Moores River Drive, Lansing
Join Lansing City Clerk Chris Swope and partnering organizations for “Souls to the Polls Drive-Thru Trunk-or-Treat.” There will be music performed by All of the ABove Hip Hop Ozay Moore, and voters of all ages can participate in a mock Halloween special election using real tabulators to learn the voting process. Residents may also register to vote, vote early, and/or submit their completed absentee ballots for the upcoming election.
- When: Saturday, October 28, from 1-4pm
- Where: South Washington Election Unity Parking Lot - 2500 S. Washington Avenue, Lansing
- Adults should accompany young children, and older children should travel in a group or with a friend.
- Wear reflective material or carry a flow stick to be visible.
- Children should never enter a stranger’s house or vehicle.
- Adults should inspect all candy before consumption.
- Turn your porch light on to increase visibility and let trick-or-treaters know that you are handing out candy.
