Per the legal requirements of the Freedom of Information Act, call recordings related to the tragic events that occurred at Michigan State University on February 13, 2023, have been released upon request of media outlets. We recognize the release of these calls may have a significant impact on all those involved and their families. These events have greatly impacted and forever changed the lives of students, staff, faculty, families, the community, our dispatchers, and our public safety responders.
We continue to extend our deepest condolences to all who have been affected by this incident. We again recognize the bravery and professionalism of our dispatchers and all the public safety responders who worked tirelessly during this tragic and challenging event. Their dedication to our community was vital in ensuring a quick and effective response to the tragedy. We understand that the impact of these events is long-lasting and we remain committed to providing continued support and service to our community.
