It’s another quiet week here at the library. | East Lansing Public Library
Our community is reeling from the horrific events of Monday evening and we want to provide as much support to our community as we can.
We know it can be helpful for some people to have a distraction to focus on, or to follow a weekly routine like StoryTime or Lego Thursday. That’s why, with some exceptions, our regularly scheduled programs and events will continue as planned.
If you’re not feeling up to attending a program, we understand and hope that the library can still be a safe place for you. We have counseling and therapy dogs available onsite today, and we will share additional dates as they are confirmed. We know this isn’t something our community will heal from overnight, and so we are looking into ways to continue to bring these services to the library in the future.
Even if you’re not looking for programs or counseling, the library is always a place where you can come for some quiet time, to be around fellow community members, or to find other resources. We welcome everyone into the library and hope that you find what you need here.
